The Path to Constitutional Equality:
State and Federal Directions
Join us Sunday, December 9 at 1:30pm at the Stillwater Public Library for a free presentation by the co-founder of ERA Minnesota, Kathleen Murphy. Why is the Equal Rights Amendment still legally necessary in the State of Minnesota and as an Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, and what is being done at the state and national level to finally secure equal rights for all.
Our full membership meeting follows.
This presentation will cover the history of the Equal Rights Amendment from its inception until today, including what happened in the 1970s and why the national effort was defeated in 1982. Ms. Murphy is sponsored by SCVANOW’s Human Rights Team “The Persisters.”
Heather Allison is President of ERA Minnesota. M. Kathleen Murphy is the chief strategist, communications guru, and co-founder of ERA Minnesota. (ERA Minnesota)
